PVC window frames are easy to maintain.

To keep them looking like new as long as possible, just clean them with a little mild soap and water, rinse thoroughly and wipe with a soft cloth.

You should never use an abrasive product, as it can wear away the PVC surface. If your PVC window frames are stained, a mixture of soap, water and washing soda will provide a deeper cleaning action. In the case of stubborn stains, use a “magic eraser” sponge, rinse thoroughly and dry with a soft cloth.

The estimated service life of a window is 15 years; however, some may last for 20 years or more.

• The type of window (stationary or one that opens)

• The type of glazing (double or triple)
• The window’s energy efficiency
• The quality of the installation work (even the best windows, if poorly installed, will fail to live up to their full potential, and their lifespan may be shortened)
